Jay Ting Walker
Caucus Co-Chair
By day, Jay Ting Walker (he/him) is a Community Organizer at a Pennsylvania environmental non-profit. By night, Jay is a proud member of the Green Party of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh DSA, Pittsburghers for Public Transit, and Bike Pittsburgh. Jay serves as one of the Green Party of Pennsylvania’s delegates to the GPUS National Committee. He studied Biology and Economics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was active in environmental activism. In his free time, Jay is passionate about ultimate frisbee, board games, Starcraft, and watching soccer.

Shannel Pittman
Caucus Co-Chair
Shannel is a Los Angeles based activist whom before coming into the Green Party after the 2016 primary, a former state organizer Wolf-PAC in California, preparing other volunteers to speak to their representatives and prepare for meetings and working with others to ensure that California Prop 59 (a resolution overturning Citizens United) was approved that year. In addition to being a member of this Caucus, she is a member her state Coordinating Committee, Secretary and National Committee Delegate for the National Lavender Caucus, and Cochair of the GPUS National Diversity Committee. Outside of the Green Party work Shannel is a member of the Black Alliance for Peace, a member of the Los Angeles County’s Alternatives to Incarceration Working Group, among other groups.
Shannel is a writer and theater nerd. Cartoons, obscure music, and novels are how she finds balance so as not lose functionality in this fight. Being a Disabled, Asexual-Panromantic, Muslimah would be exhausting without these outlets.

Esmée Silverman
Media & Communications Chair
Esmée (they/she) is a community organizer and Green Party member. She is co-responsible for the 2023 March for Queer & Trans Youth Autonomy and has supported hundreds of advocates across the US in their work.
With optimism and humor, Esmée has brought progress back to hundreds of thousands of people across the country through her work as an event builder, advocate, crisis counselor, visionary, and instructor. She believes that all situations are nuanced and the best way to minimize harm is to approach each one with compassion, curiosity, and an unwavering resolve for our own values while being open to new possibilities.
She is an active member of the Pacific Green Party of Oregon, the co-founder of the queer & trans youth-led nonprofit Queer Youth Assemble, and a writer!
Outside of her work, she can be found trash talking her friends in video games, playing basketball, and listening to music 5 years out of style. -
Aléjandro Alegría
Accreditation Committee
Aléjandro Alegría is a resident of Houston, Texas. They work as a Cashier/Barista at Texas Children's Hospital, and inside the party they are the current Accredcom Chair of the Young EcoSocialists as well as being Co-Chair of the Greater Houston Greens. Aléjandro's passions are the environment, sustainability, transit and music. Aléjandro currently studies at Lone Star College, where they major in Urban Planning. In their free time, Aléjandro works on his music, tends to his friends’ and family’s aquariums, nerds out about musicals, and advocates for better transit options in the greater Houston area. Aléjandro speaks English, Spanish, and is learning ASL.

Cassidy Moriarity brings a detail-oriented and fiscally responsible approach to their role as Treasurer of the Young Ecosocialists of GPUS. With strong skills in budgeting, recordkeeping, and compliance, they ensure the organization’s financial health and transparency. Passionate about advancing the ten key values, Cassidy works to steward resources effectively so every dollar advances the organization’s mission.
