Ethan hale

GPUS National Committee Alternate Delegate

About:

Ethan (he/him) is a student at the University of Pittsburgh, and he is an organizer. In his spare time, he likes to cook, ride his bike, and play video games. His experiences with chronic illness led him to see how the system will leave people behind if they are unable to produce labor, serving as a constant reminder that his access to housing and healthcare is dependent on his ability to work. These experiences have only strengthened his resolve to build an alternative to the capitalist system that is failing us all.

Mission Statement:

“I want to see a Green Party that builds up grassroots power by focusing on the much more contendable races at the local level. Following the blueprint of Eugene Debs and the Socialist Party of America, we could use any wins to develop the base we need to achieve national goals. At my current university, there have been a number of issues arising, potential funding threats from house bills, staff contract disputes, and now a ‘fraud’ investigation by the federal government. Whatever fight comes up next, I plan to be out there with the masses.”
